This corresponds to about 420 watts for comparable halogen lamps. A 5W G4 LED lamp is therefore comparable (in terms of luminosity) to a 35 Watt halogen lamp. But apart from the smaller size of the LED lights, they also offer a much longer shelf life. In better words, the LED bulbs offer five times longer life than halogen lamps. In addition, they are also much more energy efficient and help you reduce electricity costs.
